Vice-President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Calabar, Cross River State, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026.

Shettima is representing President Bola Tinubu at the political gathering, which is expected to bring together APC governors, national party leaders, campaign council members and supporters from across the South-South region.

The rally forms part of the APC’s nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party had earlier commenced its presidential campaign activities with a flag-off rally in Kaduna State on October 24.

The Calabar event is expected to provide the ruling party with an opportunity to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and present its campaign message to voters in the region.

Party officials and campaign organisers have been making preparations for the gathering, with stakeholders calling on supporters to attend.

The APC’s proposed nationwide campaign schedule lists Calabar as one of its November rally locations, followed by Gombe on November 3.
