Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has described the opportunity to enter the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a rare spiritual privilege and a blessing he would cherish for the rest of his life.
Rabiu shared his experience in a Facebook post on Sunday night, accompanied by a photograph of himself with the President.
He expressed gratitude for being among members of the Nigerian delegation granted access to the sacred Islamic site, describing the experience as a moment of divine grace.
The industrialist also disclosed that his prayers inside the Kaaba extended beyond his personal life and family to Nigeria, expressing hope for lasting peace, national unity and prosperity.
Rabiu was part of the delegation that accompanied Tinubu to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, the lesser Islamic pilgrimage. Other members included Oando Group Chief Executive Officer, Wale Tinubu, state governors and senior government officials.
At a dinner organised for members of the delegation in Makkah on Saturday, Rabiu reaffirmed the business community’s support for the Tinubu administration and thanked the President for the opportunity to participate in the spiritual experience.
President Tinubu was also granted access to the Kaaba during the visit, following approval by Saudi Arabia’s leadership. The Presidency said the President used the occasion to pray for wisdom and resilience to serve Nigerians, as well as peace and prosperity for the country.
Rabiu’s remarks add to the expressions of gratitude from members of the Nigerian delegation following the rare religious experience in Makkah.
